What Is CEDA?

What is the California Energy Design Assistance Program?

The California Energy Design Assistance (CEDA) program is a statewide energy efficiency program for new construction projects. CEDA provides free technical design assistance and financial incentives to help building owners and design teams make energy-efficient, all-electric, and low-carbon design decisions from the earliest stages of planning.

The program is funded by California utility customers and administered by Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), with support from the state’s other Investor-Owned Utilities (IOUs), under the oversight of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC).

CEDA is implemented by Willdan, a leading energy consulting firm, on behalf of the IOUs.
