Piedmont Pool Site Tour

The CEDA Program, in partnership with AIA East Bay, invites you to tour the newly constructed all-electric Piedmont Community Pool. As California’s second fully electric pool, this facility demonstrates how municipalities can eliminate fossil fuels while advancing ambitious climate goals.
Developed in alignment with the City of Piedmont’s Climate Action Plan, this project reflects ambitious goals for decarbonization. It was designed by Guttman & Blaevoet Consulting Engineers and ELS Architecture & Urban Design, demonstrating how collaboration can deliver sustainable, cost-effective public infrastructure.
Project highlights include:
- Supporting targets of a 50% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2045
- Solar systems capable of offsetting up to 25% of energy demand
- Projected to save over $1.8 million in energy costs over 25 years
