Central heat pump water heaters (CPHW) are transforming how commercial buildings approach water heating and decarbonization.

In this recorded roundtable, hosted by New Buildings Institute in partnership with the California Energy Design Assistance (CEDA) program, features leading central heat pump manufacturers. The session starts with an overview of CHPWH technology and its potential to reduce emissions in multifamily and commercial buildings.

Leaders from the Advanced Water Heating Initiative’s (AWHI) Commercial Working Group share insights on market growth and barrier reduction. Central heat pump manufacturers highlight their latest products—including skid-mounted systems—and share strategies for system design, sizing, and installation. Panelists also answer audience questions and offer guidance for successful project implementation.
