Our Mission
The mission of CEDA is to work towards California’s decarbonization goals through energy-efficient strategies and decarbonization measures.
As the decarbonization landscape actively continues to evolve, we remain committed to innovation, collaboration, and adaptation, ensuring its role as a key driver in California’s sustainable and low-carbon future.
Program Objectives
- Advance the market to achieve California’s aggressive decarbonization goals
California has set ambitious goals for decarbonization to combat climate change and transition to a sustainable future. At the forefront of these efforts is the state’s commitment to achieving 100% clean energy by 2045. The CEDA program supports these goals by encouraging clients to decarbonize and use more energy-efficient measures. - Promote electrification and all-electric buildings
Rapid advancements in renewable energy technologies, the growing adoption of energy storage systems, and the integration of smart grids are shaping the decarbonization landscape. Policy changes also contribute to this transformation, with a focus on strengthening renewable energy targets and promoting energy-efficient practices. CEDA’s team of experts help clients review their building plans and provide a decarbonization analysis, along with electrification strategies. - Reduce long term energy costs and emissions
By exploring energy-efficient options for your buildings design, the CEDA team can help determine which measures make the most sense for your project design. Along with determining projected energy cost savings and projected emission reduction. - Drive adoption of high-performance measures
CEDA encourages clients to exceed regulations and energy codes, by installing high-performance measures into their design. A list of the high-performance measures can be found here. - Make buildings true grid resources
Making the grid balanced during peak energy loads is an important part of electrification. CEDA helps project teams explore energy-efficient building designs, which contributes to cutting down on the load electric grids have to create. - Educate the market
CEDA is a market support program, meaning we not only help customers with their projects, but also provide educational materials to the market. These materials include case studies, blog posts, webinars, and more which can all be found on our website. Educational topics include emerging technologies, decarbonization strategies, regulatory updates, etc.
